Scott City Baptist Church was the setting April 3, 2004, for the wedding of Patricia Ann Gilmer and Jeffrey Douglas Curnell. Tommy Miller of Scott City performed the ceremony. Soloist was Rhonda Laymon of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. John Gilmer of Scott City. The groom is the son of Lilla Curnell of Scott City, and the late Douglas Curnell.
Matron of honor was Tonya Huffman of Whitewater, and maid of honor was Chelsea Gilmer of Scott City, niece of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tracey Gilmer, sister-in-law of the bride; and Alaina and Kyla Smith, nieces of the groom, all of Scott City.
Mike Webb of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Todd Irwin of Sikeston, Mo., Ken Carter of Jackson, Ivan Lagrand of Kelso, Mo., and Paul Kluesmeier of Scott City. Ushers were Steven Cummins of Scott City and Jason Merritt of Sikeston.
Candlelighters were Tommy, Timmy and Taylor Gilmer, nephews of the bride.
Flower girl was Erica Irwin, daughter of Todd and Rachel Irwin. Ringbearer was Collin Lashbrook, son of Chris and Kristy Lashbrook of New Memphis, Ill.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.
After a wedding trip to Talladega, Ala., the couple is residing in Scott City.
