Elizabeth Dale Gardner and Brandon Ray Criner were united in marriage July 5, 2003, at Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Jim Woychuk performed the ceremony. Organist was Virginia Kassel and pianist was Larry Newman, both of Dallas. Soloists were Libby Ferguson of Dallas and Buck Criner Jr. of Crandall, Texas, father of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Betty Gardner of Bonne Terre, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau and Jackson. The groom is the son of Buck and Gloria Criner Jr. of Crandall.
Matron of honor was Norma Jean Gustavsen of Lincoln Park, N.J. Bridesmaids were Janeen Browning and Melinda McConnell of Dallas, Erin White of College Station, Texas, and Laura Wilcox of Houston, Texas. Junior bridesmaids and candlelighters were Chandler and Christen Webb, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Webb of Dallas.
Geoff Stevens of Fleetwood, Pa., was best man. Groomsmen were Jason Adair of Houston, Joaquin Criner of Fort Worth, Texas, Dudley Hughes III and Andy Webb of Dallas. Ushers were Allan Gardner of Wildwood, Mo., and Steven Gardner of Olathe, Kan., cousins of the bride; Han Kim of Dallas; Jason Reynolds of Austin, Texas, and Nathan Reynolds of Houston, cousins of the groom.
Flower girls were Sarah and Hope Gardner, and ringbearer was Brendon Gardner, cousins of the bride. Sarah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Gardner. Hope and Brendon are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Gardner.
Dawn Whitman of Shreveport, La., attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas. Greeters and servers were Emily and Julie Simpson of Dallas.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 4 at the country club.
Mrs. Criner is a graduate of Jackson High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University, received bachelor of science degrees in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master's degree in Christian education from Dallas Theological Seminary. She is an adjunct professor of English as a second language at Brookhaven College, and teaches physical fitness classes at Brookhaven Country Club.
The groom is a graduate of Crandall High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University, and a master's degree in biblical studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is employed with Raymond Harris and Associates Architectural Co.
The couple resides in Dallas.
