NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- St. Lawrence Catholic Church was the setting Oct. 4, 2003, for the wedding of Leonna Danielle Essner and Dean Patrick Heuring. Monsignor Philip Bucher of Branson, Mo., great-uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. The Rev. Normand Varone assisted.

Lectors were Ashley Barnett of Scott City, niece of the groom, and Ashley Dirnberger of Nashville, Tenn. Servers were Tyler Heuring of New Hamburg and Caleb Seyer of Oran, Mo.

Eucharistic ministers were Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Essner of Dexter, Mo., uncle and aunt of the bride. Prayer was voiced by the Rev. Dale Huff, grandfather of the bride.

Giftbearers were Megan Beggs of Benton, Mo., niece of the groom; Brant Heuring of Benton, nephew of the groom; and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Heuring of Scott City, godparents of the groom.

Organist was Cheryl Kern of New Hamburg, trumpeter was Craig Arnzen of Kelso, Mo.; vocalists were Jimmy Simmons of Benton, Kari Lape of Chaffee, Mo., and J.R. Bollinger of Nashville.

Parents of the couple are Tim and Jeanne Essner and Joe and Margaret Heuring, all of New Hamburg.

Michelle Silman of Benton, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Andrea Essner of Providence, R.I., cousin of the bride; Kristina Roslen of Sikeston, Mo.; Kari Wilhelm of New Hamburg and Kim Ziegler of Kelso, sisters of the bride; and Sheila Beggs of Benton, sister of the groom.

Best man was Danny Simpher of New Hamburg. Groomsmen were Neal Kern, Johnny Kern, Travis Green, Dale Kern, all of New Hamburg, and Eric Beardslee of Oran. Ushers were Darrell Heuring of New Hamburg and David Beussink of Bloomington, Ill., cousins of the groom; Ray Glastetter and Chris Seyer of Benton.

Candlelighters were Andrea Heisserer of Cape Girardeau, Vanessa Morgan of Benton, Lyndsey Mosby of McClure, Ill., and Erin Hamm of New Hamburg.

Anne Ziegler, daughter of Brian and Kim Ziegler of Kelso and niece of the bride, was miniature bride.

Flower girls were Addison Ziegler and Emma Wilhelm, nieces of the bride. Addison is the daughter of Brian and Kim Ziegler, and Emma is the daughter of James and Kari Wilhelm. Ringbearer was Jaxon Van Pelt, son of Megan Beggs and Billy Van Pelt of Benton and great-nephew of the groom.

Suzanne Urhahn of Benton attended the guest book. Program attendants were Brittney Heuring and Whitney Beggs of Benton, nieces of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the parish center.

The parents of the bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 3 at the parish center.

Mrs. Heuring received a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a reporter at the Standard Democrat in Sikeston.

The groom is parts manager at Mid-America Power Equipment Inc. in Cape Girardeau.

The couple is residing in New Hamburg.
