CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Julie Essner and Jeremy Bey were united in marriage Jan. 8, 2005, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Donald and Clara Essner of Chaffee. The groom is the son of Kurt and Jody Bey of O'Fallon, Mo., and Jeff and Dawn Smith of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Lori Obermann of Chaffee, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Essner of Kelso, cousin of the bride; Kristin Bey of O'Fallon, sister of the groom; Ashleigh Homan of Sedalia, Mo., and Niccole Limbach of Kansas City, Mo.

Dustin Ingram of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Travis and Tyler Boxdorfer, cousins of the groom, and Simon Irwin, all of Cape Girardeau, and Shawn Daniels of Scott City. Ushers were Jacob and Jeremy Essner of Chaffee, brothers of the bride, and Garrett Smith of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom.

Candlelighters were Jennifer Diebold and Trisha Brase of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Nikki and Tanner Peters, children of Chris and Carol Peters of Kelso and cousins of the bride.

Mrs. Bey is a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at the College of New Jersey.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. He is serving in the U.S. Air Force.

The couple is residing at McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.
