CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Angela Michelle Eftink and Adam Christopher Laws were married Aug. 11, 2001, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Mo. The Rev. David Coon performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Betty Vandeven of Chaffee. Vocalists were Ruth Heisserer, Christy Hency, Delores Pobst and Rosemary Bryeans.
Readers were Lori Arnzen and Patrick Johnston of Scott City. Mass servers were Nathan and Caroline Eftink of Sikeston, cousins of the bride, and Luke Rayfield of Kelso, Mo. The offertory was presented by Carl and Sheila Eftink, godparents of the bride.
Martin and Jeanette Eftink of Chaffee are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Eddie and Patricia Laws of Scott City.
Janice Eftink of Chaffee was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Holly Reed of Scott City, sister of the groom; Erin O'Loughlin of Fruitland, Mo., Casey Rayfield of Kelso, Shawna Senn of Scott City, and Jennifer Friga of Cape Girardeau.
The groom chose his brother, Eddie Laws Jr. of Fruitland, as best man. Groomsmen were Billy Wilhite, cousin of the groom; Robert Cook, Garrett Spinks, Chris Heisserer and Robert Vetter, all of Scott City. Ushers were Eric and Craig Eftink of Chaffee, brothers of the bride.
Candlelighters were Lee Ann Blankenship of Scott City, sister of the groom, and Misti Laws of Fruitland, sister-in-law of the groom.
Flower girls were Morgan Blankenship of Scott City and Taylor Laws of Fruitland, nieces of the groom. Ringbearers were Logan Blankenship and Daylon Reed of Scott City, nephews of the groom.
Programs were handed out by Christine Eftink of Sikeston and Beth Horrell of Marble Hill, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was held at Chaffee VFW Hall.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 10 at the VFW Hall.
The bride is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, and is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is a checkout supervisor at Sam's Club in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a graduate of Scott City High School. He is a customer service specialist at JCPenney in Cape Girardeau.
The couple resides in Scott City.
