La Croix United Methodist Church was the setting April 28, 2001, for the wedding of Kara Michelle Ebaugh and Ronny Issa Askar. The Rev. Ron Watts performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist and soloist was Chris Nall of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the bride are Paul and Jeanne Ebaugh of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Abdo and Najah Askar of Burbank, Calif.
Megan Thrower of Cape Girardeau was her sister's matron of honor. Erin Cryer of Dallas, Texas, cousin of the bride, was honorary matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tonika Nenninger of Jackson, Mo., Nikki Stallion of Cape Girardeau, and Andrea Askar of Burbank, sister of the groom.
The groom chose his brother, Donny Askar of Burbank, as best man. Groomsmen were Johnny Younan of Santa Clarita, Calif., Eddie Muchamel and Jim Younan of Burbank, all cousins of the groom.
Flower girls were Mary, Laura and Olivia Goodman. Ringbearer was Jacob Goodman. They are the children of Jeff and Theresa Goodman of Cordova, Tenn., and cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Mollies Cafe and Bar.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 27 at Holiday Inn.
The bride is employed in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Providence Holy Cross in Mission Hills, Calif.
The groom is a network administrator at United States Manufacturing Corp.
The couple resides in Glendale, Calif.
