Julie Elizabeth Earl and Brent David Anderson exchanged vows June 8, 2002, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. Msgr. Michael Swalina performed the single ring ceremony. Music was by Brett Yount of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Steve and Rosy Earl of Cape Girardeau and Tom and Donna Anderson of Scott City, Mo.
Matrons of honor were Therese Beardsley of St. Louis and Amy Hoffmeister of Springfield, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Carrie May of Cape Girardeau, Stacy Schlegel-Meyr of Jackson, Mo., Stephanie Hazel of St. Charles, Mo., Brandy Quade of Hillsboro, Mo., and Kym Sample of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaid was Kylie Williams.
Best men were Keith and Eric Anderson, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were Pete DeLuca of Cape Girardeau, Matt Holder of Scott City, Jim May of Cape Girardeau, Tom Hoffmeister of Springfield, brother-in-law of the bride, and Greg Klund of Cape Girardeau. Junior groomsman and reader was Stephen Hoffmeister. Ushers were Alex Hoffmeister of Springfield, nephew of the bride; Christian Cavaness, godson of the groom; Craig Sander and Mike Skelton of Jackson, Paul Cavaness and Bobby Haggerty of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girl was Katelin May, daughter of Jim and Carrie May. Ringbearer was Cory Cavaness, son of Paul and Kristi Cavaness and godson of the groom.
Candlelighters were Sarah Glenn and Rhonda White of Scott City.
Kristi Cavaness attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Keri Williams.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Server was Rose Horrell.
The rehearsal dinner was held June 6 at the home of Bob and Marlene Bell.
Mrs. Anderson received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a manager in the IT Department at Southwestern Bell in St. Louis.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Southeast University. He is a teacher and head football coach at Charleston High School.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
