Jacqueline Rhea Downing and Brian Anthony Tenkhoff were married May 25, 2006, on the beach at the Sheraton Hotel in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Raleigh Hinkle, grandfather of the bride, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mitchell and Lauri Gilmer of Philadelphia, Miss., and James Downing of Gary, Ind. The groom is the son of Mark and Cathy Tenkhoff of Cape Girardeau.
Maids of honor were Christine and Marykate Downing of Valparaiso, Ind., cousins of the bride. Bridesmaids were Angie Downing of Valparaiso, cousin of the bride; Jennifer Downing of Gary, Ind., sister of the bride; and Caitie Tenkhoff of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Blake Tenkhoff of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom; Charles Smithers of Atlanta, Ga., Ryan Holmes and Ed Woo of Oxford, Miss.
The reception was held at the Sheraton Hotel.
Mrs. Tenkhoff received a bachelor's degree in human resources from the University of Mississippi in 2005. She is a staffing specialist at Ablest in Olive Branch, Miss.
The groom received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the university in 2004. He is employed at Precision Engineering firm in Oxford, Miss.
The couple resides in Byhalia, Miss.
