Jessica Ann Dees and Jeffrey Scott Walker were married June 29, 2002, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. Lectors were Amanda Broshuis of Jackson, and Becky Langston of Blue Springs, Mo., cousin of the groom. Organist was Diann Bradshaw of Scott City. Flutist and vocalist was Amy Turnbull of Denton, Texas.
Larry and Melba Dees of Scott City are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Daniel and Delores Walker of Kansas City, Mo.
Danielle Douglas of Nashville, Tenn., sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Maid of honor was Vanessa Cook and bridesmaids were Sara Corn and Sarah Glenn, all of Scott City.
Best men were Jackson Douglas of Nashville, brother-in-law of the groom, and David Dees of Scott City, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Jared Jones of New Madrid, Mo., and Michael Butchko of Rolla, Mo. Ushers were Joseph Langston of Blue Springs, cousin of the groom; Brandon Raines of Jackson, Brent Raines and Patrick Johnston of Scott City.
Candlelighters were Tara Swan of Pinckneyville, Ill., Ashley Raines of Scott City, Dana Lowery of Jackson, and Kristina Howell of Blue Springs.
Flower girl was Kate Bohn, daughter of Rick and Christie Bohn of Scott City. Ringbearer was Kristopher Cook, son of Vincent and Martha Cook of Scott City.
Ashley Miller of Scott City attended the guest book. Programs were distributed by Emily Weatherspoon and Elizabeth Razor of Scott City, cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Cathy Raines, Charlene Miller, Diana Enderle and Brenda Arnzen, all of Scott City.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 28 at Dexter Bar*B*Que in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Walker is a 1998 graduate of Scott City High School. She is a doctoral candidate at Belmont University School of Occupational Therapy in Nashville. She is employed at First Steps Inc. in Nashville.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Oak Park High School in Kansas City. He received a degree in computer engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is employed at Gaylord Entertainment in Nashville.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Nashville.
