JACKSON, Mo. -- Marca Malyn Cross and Donald Jason McBride were married Sept. 5, 2001, at Grand Lido Braco, Jamaica. Derrick Samuda performed the double ring ceremony.

Mark and Beth Cross of Portageville, Mo., are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Glenn and Madelein McBride of Jackson.

A reception was held Sept. 8 at Rebecca Sharp's in New Madrid, Mo. Servers were Mary Cross of Portageville, sister of the bride, and Amanda Buffington of Texarkana, Texas, cousin of the groom.

The bride received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in December 2000. She is employed in sales at 1st Tire and Wheel in Cape Girardeau.

The groom served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He expects to graduate from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy in April 2002.

The couple is residing in Jackson.
