Jennifer Kay Crites and Joe Henry McLemore were united in marriage June 12, 2004, at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Moon performed the ceremony. Musician and soloist was Shane Steck of Jackson. Scriptures were read by J.J. Edmonds of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Edward "Bud" and Ann Crites of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Marilyn and Joe Whitmore and Robert and Darlene McLemore, all of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Carolyn Figliolo of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Vicki McLemore, sister-in-law of the groom, and Amy Clabaugh, both of Cape Girardeau.
John McLemore of Cape Girardeau was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Groves and Robert Tankersley of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Brad Figliolo of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride, and Mark Marshall of Jackson.
Flower girl was Samantha McLemore, daughter of John and Vicki McLemore of Cape Girardeau and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Christofer Groves, son of Kevin Groves.
Gina Naeter of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book. Marietta Branum of Cape Girardeau handed out programs.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Diana Robinson of Nashville, Ga., Theresa Hopkins of Jackson, Robin Miller of Annapolis, Mo., sisters of the groom.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the bride's parents.
Mrs. McLemore is a graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She is assistant manager at Baisch and Skinner South Wholesale Florists.
The groom is a graduate of Chaffee High School. He is a customer service representative with Kraft Nabisco.
After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
