Amber Marie Cox and Ian Christopher Sides were united in marriage June 5, 2004, at Hanover Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Hackney performed the ceremony. Soloist was Rhonda Zeilinger.
The bride is the daughter of Carlyn and Luther Haynes and Donald Cox Jr. of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Renee and Duane Statler of Jackson and Steve Sides of Lakewood, Colo.
Maid of honor was Amy Dirnberger of Benton, Mo. Bridesmaids were Erin Easley, Danielle Milam, and Christie Reisenbichler, cousin of the bride, all of Cape Girardeau.
James Sides of Jackson, cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Rodney Poe, Nathan Sides, brother of the groom, both of Cape Girardeau, and Jason Biri of Jackson. Ushers were Ron Tinnin of Cape Girardeau, uncle of the groom, and Ronnie Stewart of Columbia, Tenn., uncle of the bride.
Miniature bride was Cali Knepp, daughter of Art and Tammy Knepp of Cape Girardeau. Miniature groom was Conner Raines, son of Robert and Jacque Raines of Scott City.
Candlelighters were Emily Kohm of Perryville, Mo., and Diana Gross of Jackson, cousins of the bride.
Flower girl was Bethany Bomar, daughter of Rick and Becky Bomar of Cape Girardeau. Ringbearer was Chayton Bass, son of Matt and Brandi Bass of Cape Girardeau.
Miranda Statler of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Jackson. Servers were Trisha Klipfel and Mandy Blattner of Cape Girardeau, and Michaela Kohm of Perryville, cousin of the bride.
The groom's mother and stepfather hosted the rehearsal dinner June 4 at Celebrations.
Mrs. Sides is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. She is employed at US Bank.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed at Wal-Mart.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
