Heather Dawn Compass and Kevin Ray Eakins were married Oct. 15, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. The Rev. David Coon performed the ceremony. Pianist was Joe Spalding of Scott City, and soloists were Teresa Morrill of Scott City, Paula Yount of Bartlett, Tenn., Renee and Hayley Compass of Scott City.

Parents of the couple are Larry and Kim Compass of Scott City, and Alan and Donna Eakins of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Sarah Cochran. Bridesmaids were Brandi and Jessica Compass, sisters of the bride, and Renee Compass, cousin of the bride, all of Scott City. Junior bridesmaid was Hayley Compass of Scott City, cousin of the bride.

Michael Eakins of Nicholasville, Ky., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Andy Seabaugh of Jackson, Bradley Bohannon of Scott City, and Shawn Peetz of Jackson. Ushers were Jeff Compass of Glendale, Calif., uncle of the bride, and Chris Josephs of Scott City.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 14 at St. Joseph School gym.

Mrs. Eakins is a 2002 graduate of Scott City High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006. She is employed at Sam's Club in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Cape Girardeau.

The couple resides in Scott City.
