Rachel Elizabeth Carbaugh and Andrew Steven Mellies were united in marriage June 7, 2008, at Rock of Cape Church. Mark Carbaugh and Tony Hammack performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Mark and Debbie Carbaugh of Jackson. The groom is the son of Dr. Steven and Emily Mellies of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Elizabeth Glastetter of Cape Girardeau, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Erika Guzman of St. Louis and Carrie Margrabe of Cape Girardeau.

Kenny Miracle of Kansas City, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Probst of Cape Girardeau and Joshua Carbaugh of Jackson, brother of the bride. Ushers and candlelighters were Josh Wiseman and Sam Davis. Josh is the son of Dale and Ericka Wiseman of Fruitland. Sam is the son of Jim and Sarah Davis of Jackson.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Sarah and Jonathan Bell, cousins of the bride. They are the children of Robin Bell of Jackson and Troy Bell of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Kathy Smith attended the guest book.

A dinner reception was held at the church.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 6 at the Marquette Restaurant.

Mrs. Mellies received a bachelor of science degree in management from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., in 2008. She is an international student placement coordinator with Eagle Ridge International. She is the children's ministry director at the Rock of Cape.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in management from Oral Roberts in 2007. He is athletic director and boys basketball coach at Eagle Ridge Christian School. He is youth pastor at Rock of Cape.

After a wedding trip to Maui, the couple is residing in Jackson.
