Jamie Beth Burgfeld and Darren Ray Hefner exchanged vows March 16, 2002, at Old Hanover Lutheran Church. The Rev. Samuel Roethemeyer performed the ceremony. Christy Shinn of Jackson played keyboards, Sophinisba Gathman of Pocahontas, Mo., played the harp, and soloist was Jamie Burgfeld.
The bride is the daughter of Lawson and Jude Burgfeld of Jackson. The groom is the son of Carl R. and Rena L. Hefner of Advance, Mo.
Matron of honor was Andrea Burgfeld of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride.
Darren Burgfeld of Jackson, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Darin Shell of Marble Hill, Mo., Jackie Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Mike Little of Kelso, Mo., and Justen Patterson of Cape Girardeau.
Guest book attendants were Niki Johnson of Vanduser, Mo., and Sarah Fuemmeler of Cape Girardeau.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Kelley Barks of Marble Hill, Katrina Scheeter of Advance, and Bonnie Bollinger of Bryan, Texas.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 15 at Port Cape.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
