Caroline Elisabeth Burdin and Thomas Michael Foote, both of Cape Girardeau, were married Dec. 5, 2015, at Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Sam O. Pulliam, pastor of Faith Temple Community Church in Elmira, New York, family friend of the bride, performed the ceremony. Tova Braitburg and Elegant Ensembles of St. Louis performed the ceremony music, in which a string quartet and piano played both classical and contemporary musical choices.

Caroline is the daughter of David and Sarah Burdin of Cape Girardeau. Thomas is the son of Michael and Diane Foote of St. Charles, Missouri.

Maid of honor was Hattie Louise Burdin of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Courtney Jo Markhart Uptain of Cape Girardeau, sorority sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lacey Balsmann of Cape Girardeau, sorority sister of the bride; Alexandra Brown of Kennett, Missouri, dear family friend of the bride; Emily Boatner Burdin of Cape Girardeau, high school friend and sister-in-law of the bride; Alyssa Dressel of Kansas City, Missouri, sorority sister of the bride; Claire Kinchen of Round Rock, Texas, cousin of the bride; Catherine Kinchen of Rolla, Missouri, cousin of the bride; Jessica Lemons Lambert of Dexter, Missouri, sorority sister of the bride; and Jessica McKay of Kansas City, sorority sister of the bride.

Flower girl was Devyn Lynn Dodillet, daughter of Bailee and Clint Dodillet of Centralia, Illinois, and granddaughter of Darin and Tonya Schwartz of Centralia, close family friends of the bride.

Ring bearer was Brayden Russell Uptain, son of Clayton and Courtney Uptain of Cape Girardeau.

Best man was Andrew Feldt of St. Louis, fraternity brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Thomas John Barklage of St. Peters, Missouri, fraternity brother of the groom; Taylor Burdin of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Mason Burdin of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Christopher Cullen of St. Charles, high school friend of the groom; Clay Ebert of St. Charles, cousin of the groom; Benjamin Foote of St. Charles, brother of the groom; Matthew Gillardi of St. Charles, fraternity brother of the groom; Thomas Legrand of Ballwin, Missouri, fraternity brother of the groom; and Colby Patton of St. Charles, high school friend of the groom.

Ushers were Charles Thomas Brown II of Kennett, close family friend of the bride; William Marshall Brown of Kennett, close family friend of the bride; Jacob Hall of Chattanooga, Tennessee, close family friend of the bride; Clayton Uptain of Cape Girardeau, friend of the bride; and Andrew Zigich of Tampa, Florida, high school friend of the bride.

The black-tie reception was hosted by the bride's parents at the Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis immediately following the ceremony. The reception included dinner and dancing to the music of the Downtown Band out of Nashville, Tennessee.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents on Dec. 4 at Cafe Napoli in St. Louis.

Caroline is a 2008 graduate of Santa Fe Catholic High School in Lakeland, Florida, and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. While at Southeast, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She works in finance at Precision Insurance and Financial Services Inc. in Cape Girardeau.

Thomas is a 2006 graduate of St. Charles High School and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration/finance. While at Southeast, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He also is employed at Precision Insurance and Financial Services as a commercial truck insurance provider.

The couple went on a honeymoon to Grand Cayman the week following the wedding.

The couple lives in Cape Girardeau.
