Jessica Lee Best and Cody Christopher Kinder were united in marriage May 31, 2008, at the Water's Edge in Gordonville. Jeffery Lowery of St. Charles, Mo., performed the ceremony. Pianist was Lenny Kuper of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Laura and Jack Taber. The groom is the son of Howard Kinder and Amy and Dale Beechem, all of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Daisy Patrick of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Shealee Smith, Ashley Day, Liz Day, Jenni Emanie, all of Cape Girardeau; and Taylor Cummins of Bartlesville, Okla., niece of the groom.
Shawn Kinder of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Patrick, cousin of the groom; Dean and Blake Best, brothers of the bride; Travis Bowman; and Kyle Hente, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Matt Beussink and Darrell Porter of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girl was Trinity Taber, daughter of Michael and Kara Taber of Eddyville, Ill., and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Owen Shell, son of B.J. and Amy Shell of Bluffton, S.C., and cousin of the bride.
Guest book and program attendants were Samantha Frank and Megan Richards of Cape Girardeau. Jacquen Cummins of Bartlesville, nephew of the groom, was bubbles attendant.
The reception was held at the Water's Edge.
The groom's father hosted the rehearsal dinner May 30 at the Water's Edge.
Mrs. Kinder is a 2005 graduate of Central High School. She received an associate of applied science degree in business management and computer specialist from Metro Business College in 2007. She is a guest service supervisor with Drury Hotels.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. He attended Mineral Area College. He is shop manager at Corvettes Only.
After a wedding trip to Oahu, Hawaii, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.w
