Sarah Jane Benton and Jason Charles Trickey, both of Cape Girardeau, exchanged vows on June 1, 2002, at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Hal Greene officiated. Shane Steck of Cape Girardeau was pianist, and Clay Hurst and Cindy Farrow of Jackson were soloists.
Parents of the couple are Tom Benton of Jackson and Debbie Benton of Cape Girardeau, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Trickey of Cape Girardeau and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mogelnicki of Cape Girardeau.
Becky Benton of Cape Girardeau served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Benton of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Andrea Benton of St. Louis, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Flower girls were Mikel Ulrich and McKenzie Ulrich, both cousins of the bride. Mikel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Ulrich of Cape Girardeau. McKenzie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ulrich of Jefferson City, Mo. Ringbearer was Gage Shipman, son of Brandy Shipman of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighter was Heather Cato of Little Rock, Ark., step-sister of the groom.
Best man was Kevin Ray of St. Louis, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Jim Trickey II of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom, and Dustin Michael of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Brooks Depro of Apex, N.C., cousin of the bride; Jason Depro of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Brian Kelpe of Cape Girardeau.
Mr. and Mrs. Mogelnicki hosted the rehearsal dinner on May 31 at their home.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau. Servers were Stephanie Depro, Kim Depro, Donna Birk, and Mindy Jenkins. Guest book attendant was Amy Bomack.
Mrs. Trickey is a 1996 graduate of Cape Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2001. She is a graphic artist at Cape Girardeau Printing Company.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
