MR. & MRS. RUSS A. MOTHERSHEAD II
Patricia Ellen Bennett and Russ Allen Mothershead II exchanged wedding vows Nov. 19, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul Short performed the candlelight ceremony. Reader was Dr. Andrew Pratt of Liberty, Mo.
Organist was Diann Daume and trumpeter was Barry Bernhardt. Vocalists were Gwenda and Michelle Bennett, sisters of the bride, and Debra Stout, aunt of the bride.
Dr. and Mrs. Michael Bennett of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russ Mothershead of Scott City.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maids of honor were Gwenda Bennett of Cape Girardeau and Michelle Bennett of Little Rock, Ark. Bridesmaids were Kathryn and Julie Mothershead of Scott City, sisters of the groom; Lisa Mark and Brooke Spain of Dallas, Texas, Caroline Wicker of New York City, Lindsay Rambo of Waco, Texas, Meg Kirkandall of Austin, Texas, Hayley Bridges, Lindsay Dement and Mackenzie Scherer, all of Cape Girardeau.
Clay Mothershead of West Lafayette, Ind., was his brother's best man. Honorary best man was the late Daniel Mothershead, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Ross Bennett of Kansas City, brother of the bride; Parker Beauchamp of Wabash, Ind., Chris Geiswein of Memphis, Tenn., Bradley Downing of Greentown, Ind., Samuel Stahly of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride; Jason Owen of Springfield, Mo., and Luke Choate of Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Ushers were Andrew Mothershead of Columbia, cousin of the groom; Douglas Felter of Lincoln, Neb., Joshua Miller of Cape Girardeau, T.J. Erlacker of Columbia, and J.P. Limbaugh of Quincy, Ill.
Flower girls were Katherine Dudley and Delaney Shaffer. Katherine is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Scott Dudley of Columbia, Mo., and cousin of the bride. Delaney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrin Shaffer of Cape Girardeau.
The reception was held at the Cape Girardeau Country Club. Servers were Clair Storey, Kirsten Steves and Katie Kampen, all from Texas.
The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 18 at the Royal N'Orleans.
Mrs. Mothershead is a 2001 graduate of Central High School, and received a degree in finance from Baylor University in Waco in 2005. She is a credit analyst at Capaha Bank in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Kelly High School in Benton, Mo., and received a degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University in West Lafayette. He is a commodities manager with Midwest Grain and Barge Co. in Scott City.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
