Amanda Nicole Balsano and Mark D. Kiehne were united in marriage June 27, 2009, at Abbey Road Christian Church. The Rev. Roger Kiepe performed the ceremony. Readers were Abby Perdue of Cape Girardeau and Holly Ruggeri of St. Louis. Music was by Trio Girardeaux.

Parents of the couple are Tony and Debbie Balsano of Cape Girardeau, and Larry and Lois Kiehne of Jackson.

Matron of honor was Rachel Bertrand of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Carrie Hessenkemper of Cape Girardeau, Jessica Campbell of St. Louis, Mary Ellen Malone and Alison Roth of Cape Girardeau.

Mike Kiehne of Dexter, Mo., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Steve and David McKee of Jackson, brothers of the groom; Justin McKee of Jackson, nephew of the groom; and Ryan Balsano of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Justin Bryant of Macomb, Ill., cousin of the bride, and Bill Meyers of Jackson.

Candlelighters were Jennifer Freeze of Cape Girardeau and Megan McKee, daughter of David and Brenda McKee and niece of the groom.

Flower girls were Morgan Hessenkemper and Hailee Kiehne. Morgan is the daughter of Carrie Hessenkemper. Hailee is the daughter of Mike and Amanda Kiehne and niece of the groom.

Danielle Bryant of Murphysboro, Ill., cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the Elks Lodge.

The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner June 26 at their home.

Mrs. Kiehne received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003, and a master of arts degree in curriculum and instruction from William Woods University in 2007. She is employed with Cape Girardeau School District.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Arkansas State University in 1998, master of arts degree in elementary administration from William Woods in 2001, and a specialist in administration from William Woods in 2005. He is employed with Cape Girardeau School District.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
