BENTON, Mo. -- Amy Renea Arteme and Christopher Lyman Moore were married July 30, 2005, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. The Rev. J. Friedel performed the ceremony. Organist was Dawn Dowd, flutist was Christy Lapka, and vocalists were Jim Simmons, Kari Lape and Tobi Layton.
Jim and Margaret Arteme of Benton are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Jim and Kathy Moore of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Pamela Dannenmueller of Scott City. Bridesmaids were Brandi Hamm of Cape Girardeau; Jessie Thompson of Springfield, Mo.; Jennifer McNiell of Sikeston, Mo.; Kim Burger of Benton, cousin of the bride; Liz Thomas of Olathe, Kan., and Jennifer Gray of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the groom.
Steve Azinger of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Joe Moore of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom; Tommy Arteme of Northfield, Minn., brother of the bride; Ryan Ziegler, cousin of the bride, and Joseph Froemsdorf, nephew of the groom, both of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girls were Grace Cook and Juliette Gray, nieces of the groom. Ringbearers were Chance Ziegler, cousin of the bride, and Gage Moore, nephew of the groom.
Program attendants were Julie Vinson, cousin of the bride, and Christina Moore, cousin of the groom. Tammy Alfultis was guest book attendant.
The reception was held at the University Center Ballroom. Servers were Audrey Camren, Carissa Klipfel and Jessica Worth.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 29 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Moore is a 1998 graduate of Kelly High School. She expects to receive a master's degree in medical dietetics and public health from St. Louis University in 2006. She is a graduate assistant in the university's Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is employed by the city of St. Louis Health Department Office of Health Promotion.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a middle school health and physical education teacher, and coaches high school wrestling and track and field at Rockwood School District.
After a wedding trip to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple resides in St. Louis.
