Tara Marie Allen and Matthew Ryan Wortmann were married Dec. 2, 2006, at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Drew Dietz performed the ceremony. Reader was Stacy Elfrink. Pianist was Matt Yount and vocalist was Laurie Anderson, both of Jackson.
Parents of the couple are Tom and Tandra Allen and Bruce and Jackie Wortmann, all of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Tori Mirly of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Huck of Bloomsdale, Mo., cousin of the bride; Debbie Wachter of St. Peters, Mo., sister of the groom; Amy Webb of Ponchatoula, La., and Elizabeth Lorenz of Sikeston, Mo.
Joe Walter of New York, N.Y., and Chris Stockton of Jackson were best men. Groomsmen were Jeremy Wachter of St. Peters, brother-in-law of the groom; Jason Hellmann of Festus, Mo., and Scott Cross of Springfield, Mo. Ushers were David Mirly of Jackson, brother-in-law of the bride; Brian Stroer of Cape Girardeau; Mike Badino of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Stephen Wortmann of St. Peters, both cousins of the groom.
Flower girl was Gabriela Exendine, daughter of Rick and Julie Exendine of Mexico, Mo., and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Luke Mirly, son of David and Tori Mirly and nephew of the bride.
Nicole Fadler attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Bavarian Halle at Fruitland. Servers were Robin Boyd, aunt of the bride; Jeannie Fadler, godmother of the bride; and Melinda Dietz.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 1 at Port Cape.
Mrs. Wortmann is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a degree in business education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999, and a degree in educational administration from Southeast in 2003. She is a seventh grade computer teacher with Jackson School District.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a degree in social studies education from Southeast in 2006. He is a seventh grade geography teacher with Jackson School District.
After a wedding trip to Estes Park, Colo., the couple resides in Jackson.
