Today Paul Young came to Scott City and spoke at the Scott City School for an Assembly. The bleachers were packed as the High School and Middle School listened to Paul share his life story as a missionary son and ups and downs in his life. He spoke on the events that led up to him righting the book as a Christmas gift for his children. They were broke and his wife suggested he right a book and get it printed at Office Depot. An annonomous person slid $100 under his door one night. He was able to pay some bills and print 15 books in a binder. He gave the book to his 6 children and some close friends. His friends helped him to publish it and soon it caught on and today 18 million copies have been sold. Today he has a new book called Cross Roads. He signed books at the First Assembly of God Church in Scott City that night.
