Local student selected for 2016 Who’s Who
MURRAY, Ky. — The 2016 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges includes several students from Murray State University who have been selected as outstanding campus leaders.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory choose students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
This exclusive honor is conferred by more than 1,000 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and is symbolized by the presentation of an award certificate. Outstanding students have been honored in the directory since it was first published in 1934.
Chleo LeGrand from Cape Girardeau, MO has been selected to the year’s edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Chleo LeGrand is the daughter of Mary and Steve LeGrand, and is majoring in Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy.
Chleo LeGrand is involved in many activities. She is a member of the Murray State Track and Field team as a pole-vaulter. In addition, she serves as the vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Within SAAC she is a part of the executive board and represents Murray State within the Ohio Valley Conference. Chleo is also a member of the Student leadership council at the wellness center on campus and the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars. In addition, Chleo participate in the BCM and bible study. Chleo will graduate in May from Murray State University with a bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
