Women from Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Perryville and Marble Hill offered a free unique adventure.
The Beef Check off, in conjunction with the American National CattleWomen, the Missouri CattleWomen and Besher Farms in Patton are offering a unique opportunity for a limited number of women in the area on Wednesday, June 18. On that date, women will be able to put a face and a place on how, where and who grows the food for the table. They will be able to meet and tour the Besher family farm and have an open discussion with local experts on modern food production. Beginner cooks will learn how to select, store and cook beef while the foodies in the group will be learn whether to use marinades or rubs. They will all learn to prepare quick and tasty beef wraps and salads.
Roundtrip transportation will be provided for those who wish from the West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau but participants from other areas may drive themselves. Car pooling is encouraged.
