Cape Central High School choir students Christian Cooper & Rachel Juhlin, pictured with CHS Choir Director Jordan Cox, were named to the Missouri Choral Directors Association's 9th & 10th grade All-State Choir and spent a day this summer rehearsing in Jefferson City under the direction of Dr. Allen Hightower, Professor of Music and Conductor of the renowned Nordic Choir of Luther College. The rehearsal was in preparation for a performance at the annual conference of the Missouri Choral Directors Association.

The Nordic Choir, founded in 1946, enjoys national and international acclaim as a premier collegiate choral ensemble in the United States. "I continue to be so very pleased with all of the enrichment opportunities our students receive from our various music programs," said Dr. Mike Cowan, principal of CHS. "Congratulations to Christian and Rachael, and to Choir Director Jordan Cox."
