Weather had canceled two previous dates that were chosen for the annual fundraiser, Raising the Roof Sock Hop which 100% of the funds raised are donated to The Cape Area Family Resource Center. The weather had nearly won but staff and organizers are determined to carry on.

Then a stoke of genius, the sock hop should be held in the building the funds are being raised to support. This would be wonderful, giving the contributors a first hand tour of the Resource Center, meeting the staff and seeing how their funds would be spent, but also the weather could no long destroy our plans.

The suggestion was brought to the CAFRC board and received a unanimous vote that the fund raising event could be held in the Red Bird Auditorium, but only since the funds being raised were for the Resource Center.

With that decided, I wanted to take this opportunity to publicly THANK the contributors that have made donations to date for this years Sock Hop, "Raising the Roof"
