This community has developed a style of worship that reflects its lifestyle: it is simple, beautiful and prayerful. An aspect of Taizé prayer is the music which is sung through simple prayer-chants. By singing together simple chants that are short, easy to learn, and repeated many times, those worshipping in the style of Taizé are able to let go with their mind and to pray and listen to God with their heart. Nothing is more conducive to a communion with the living God than a meditative common prayer with, as its high point, singing that never ends and that continues in the silence of one's heart when one is alone again.

Expect chants or simple songs, silence, prayer, candlelight, scripture or poetry, peace or relief from daily stress.

Taizé prayer services will be held during Advent at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. All are invited.
