In todays world it's no-longer a sence of direction and time well spent together.
I say it like that because, here in Southeast Missouri My roots & family have lived here and even when my parents devorced in 1975. I had memmories and momments Locked away in time. It (Southeast Missouri) Represented in my mind Love,Peace,Kindness, and the warmth of freindly neighbors.
You know as a kid I could walk all around town until dark and just be a kid. Now days it's as if Neighbors are Strangers from another side of the country. I am only 42 years old and I do understand things change and this world has changed! But, Why?
I mean, There is Bad & Good and maybe its just me? The little towns can still look the same and the Churches can get bigger and more grander. It is no-longer Quiet! Instead of hearing at night a dog barking or a Whipper Wheel outside in the summer night. I hear Traffic of cars and air conditioners humming.
Anyways, It's Sunday Morning and I am Thankful! I guess the Whipper Wheels are still singing somewhere and I know the dogs are still barking but, its changing just like the seasons do. Missouri is still home! So, I'll do my Best to remain hopeful and just maybe that old whipper wheel is the only sound I hear...
"A simple Story is all it takes to hear the quietness of a fluttering Humming bird or an Old Missouri Whipper Wheel singing you to sleep.."
