American Red Cross- Southeast MO Chapter donates
Computers to Cape Area Family Resource Center
Cape Girardeau, MO- The American Red Cross Southeast MO Chapter recently made a donation of computers and other equipment to the Cape Area Family Resource Center.
Cheryl Klueppel, Executive Director of the Red Cross, states "The Board of Directors and staff of the Red Cross know how important it is for children in our community to have the skills necessary to be successful in school. We hope that this will contribute to building essential developmental assets of creative activity, active engagement in learning, and involvement in youth programs."
The Cape Area Family Resource Center is a Not for Profit family based agency located in south Cape. The Cape Area Family Resource Center is Free for everyone and offers a variety of benefits to people of all ages. "We are pleased to donate this equipment for the youth and educational purposes at the Cape Area Family Resource Center. When this equipment no longer met the capacity for our operations, a volunteer suggested donating to the Family Resource Center," said Klueppel.
Over the last few months, two Red Cross volunteers, Lou Peukert and Kip Brockett, prepared the computers and equipment with a new educational operating system for youth and families to utilize at the Center. "The Red Cross and Family Resource Center programs receive funding from the United Way of Southeast Mo so we are pleased to be able to support another partner agency and their mission," said Klueppel.
