You can spend a day at Barks Plantation and Campground in Glen Allen for that weekend get-away. Enjoy a picnic, primitive camping or RV lot with water, electric and sewer hookups, a children's play area, or just relax and enjoy nature in a roomy, clean, quiet atmosphere with occasional entertainment and constant relaxation.
Castor River Park Campground provides sandy beaches, RV sites, and cabins, with activities that include fishing, swimming, a playground for your children, and an onsite store with RV supplies, snacks and cold beverages. Watch for their Duck Races and other fund activities.
Whippoorwill Lake Family Campground offers sandy beaches, swimming, fishing, horse camping for all you horse owners, plus RVs spots, tent camping space, and cabins for rent. They are open all year round and have free Wi-Fi with occasional entertainment offered.
Patton Lions Club sponsors Lawn Mower Races at the Patton Saddle Club. Enjoy the excitement of the mowers flying around the track and buy some food at the concession stands to help the Lions raise funds. All proceeds from the concession stands are used for youth programs, vision services, and community emergency needs. Bring your whole family or as many people as you can get in your car and enjoy this evening for only $5 a car load! Time trials start at 5pm and races start at 6pm.
The Marble Hill Optimists Club provides outdoor fun with various ball games, barrel races, youth rodeo, and horse shows taking place at the Optimists horse arena and ball park here in Marble Hill.
Rockin' JK Arena can be found by taking Hwy 51 north, from the four way stop in Marble Hill for 3 miles, turn right on to hwy CC, and drive 2 miles till you see the sign! They offer barrel races and more! Bring the family for a small fee, only $5 a vehicle, to watch the fun!
