Work with the city and all parties involved leaving politics out and just using good judgement. Also to not make any decisions without doing our homework, there are many knowledgeable people out there just know who you are listening to.
Keeping a balanced budget that is fair to all. Spending our tax dollars in a very conservative manner. Continued maintenance of roads, bridges and all county properties along with trying to help the county grow and prosper with good decision making and with an open ear.
By having helped manage the family farm most of my adult life and dealing with new challenges that exist in managing a business along with being on several committees, Perry County Extension, Bank of Missouri Ag Advisory, Past Trustee of Masonic Lodge #226, Several Union committees from safety to negotiating grievances between company and labor.
I've been interested in the County Commissioner position for a long time but farming and working at Mississippi Lime from heavy equipment to electrical and maintenance I knew there was not enough time. Now that I am retired I do have the time that I need to devote to the citizens of Perry County for a through, honest and fair job.
