Three Perry County Middle School students in Mary Richardson's

sixth grade communication arts class have accomplished something quite remarkable. During second quarter, the trio read a combined total of 11,613 pages. Anna Huskey (left) read 4,130 pages, Kyle Jannin (center) read 3,780 pages and Andy Guo, read 3,703 pages.

"Each quarter, students are required to read 200, 300, 400 or 500 pages based on their reading ability," said Mary Richardson.

"Students must keep logs of their books read and pass computer

tests over them with at least a 70 percent accuracy. These three students far exceeded their goals."
