The AT&T Pioneers were asked to help donate storage container and tarps to cover Joplin survivors belongings. Jeannie Pickard of Malden Mo. called several cotton gins in the area and asked for a donation of cotton module tarps . The Sandy Ridge Cotton Gin came through with a donation of 400 tarps now we had to get them delivered to Joplin. The call went out and Lester Bowersock from Kansas City located Vernon Wilson Trucking in Malden and they Donated a tractor trailer truck and driver to take the tarps to Joplin, when they arived the AT&T pioneers where on hand to help unload and distribute them to the Joplin people .Within an hour of being unloaded the tarps were all gone. A Big thanks to all who gave so much of their time and resorces.
