Old Bi-Planes and Windy Days

This Stearman Bi-Plane stopped at Cape's Airport earlier this week for fuel and a rest for it's pilot before continuing on it's journey.

A favorite among airshow performers, the WWII Boeing Trainer was decked out with some cool logos and nose art...along with mounts for what appeared to be some 8-9 Go-Pro Cameras.

At the time of it's landing, we were experiencing wind gusts over 20 mph, forcing the Stearman's pilot to taxi the plane to our ramp at a near-crawl to keep it from swinging into the wind.

We parked the Bi-Plane cross-ways on it's spot to keep it's nose pointed into the wind, while the pilot filled it's wing tank with some of our 100LL avgas.
