This year, Katie Newell and Emilie Beard collected toys to be taken to Cardinal Glennon. They collected an outstanding amount of 275 toys! In order to collect this many toys, Katie and Emilie took donations from the friendly customers at Big Lots, employees at Rubbermaid, FCCLA members of Jackson High School, and students and faculty attending the Oak Ridge school district. The girls were able to personally pass out toys to some of the children at Cardinal Glennon and they still managed to fill the hospital's toy closet. Everyone at Cardinal Glennon was very thankful for the donations. Katie and Emilie would like to personally say thank you to everyone who donated toys and to their FCCLA adviser, Sherri Sparks, for making their project a huge success.
