On Monday November 15, 2010, Churches throughout Southeast Mo started collection Shoe Box gifts for Operation Christmas Child an organization of Samaritans Purse. These shoe box gifts will be given to needy children around the world. To children who are living in war torn, proverty and disease stricken countries. A simple box with simple items given in the name of Jesus. Items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, wash clothes, combs, school supplies, hard candy, coloring books, crayons, stuffed animals, dolls, jump ropes, jacks, hot wheel cars, etc. If you would like to fill a shoe box you still have time. 12 drop off sites throughout Southeast Mo will collect these boxes through Monday, Nov 22. You can go to Samaritanspurse.org put in your zip code and the 5 closest drop off sites will appear, with drop off information.
