Enter our Fossil Day art contest at the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History on October 18. The art contest is a part of our National Fossil Day Celebration.

Contest is open to all children 18 years and under.

Submit your art work of your favorite fossil to the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History (you may include its habitat or surroundings or you may feature only your fossil in the art work).

Your artwork should focus on the contest theme "My Favorite Fossil."

Here are some questions to think about to help you get started with your art work:

What fossil do you like best?

How far back in time did your fossil live?

What would your fossils habitat or surroundings look like?

What other types of animals or plants might live where your fossil lived?

What would your fossil need to eat?

Submission must be at the museum by 1pm on Oct. 18, 2014 to be eligible to win.

You may bring your artwork by the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History or if a teacher wishes to bring the work for you they may do so.

Please include: Your name, the name of your favorite fossil, your age/grade, a contact number (phone or email).

All work will be displayed at the museum for the rest of October and will be posted on our facebook page.
