The 50th Annual Missouri Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference was held in Jefferson City March 27-28, 2009. Members and Advisers from Metro Business College participated. The conference theme was Missouri PBL-- Get the Edge.

The conference featured competitive events for individuals and teams, leadership training, and election of officers for the next year.

Workshop sessions included "Leadership is Needed" conducted by Chester White, OA Director of Personnel, "Follow the Leader" by Buddy Alberson, MO PBL State President and PBL National North Central Vice-President, "Fundraising in Mo PBL" by Daniel Schuenemeyer, Mo PBL Vice-President, and "March of Dimes and PBL-Working Together for a Common Goal" by Alicia Stewart, MO PBL Secretary.

The keynote speaker for the event was Chester White, OA Director of Personnel. He shared "Next Greatest Generation."

The following students of Metro Business College were recognized at the Awards Program:

These students are eligible to represent Metro Business College at the National Leadership Conference to be held June 20-23, 2009, in Anaheim, CA.

Phi Beta Lambda is an educational association of postsecondary student members preparing for careers in business. There are over 11,000 active members in the US. Missouri has over 500 members in 26 chapters.
