Orchard Elementary in Jackson has received $4800 from Ronald McDonald House Charities to purchase laptops for their third grade computer lab. The teachers will use the computers in the classrooms to help students learn and retrain information in reading, spelling, and math.

RMHC supports non-profit childrens' programs in the areas of education, health and social well-being, and the cultural arts. The local chapter has awarded over $200,000 in grants to projects in the tri-state area in 2010. Accepting the check were third grade teachers; Ashley Diebold, April Helwege, Sarah Goodwin, and Rhonda Farrow. Presenting the grant were Cheryl Farrow, McDonlads Supervisor and Jackson Store Manager Lisa Hudson.
