Pizzeria Adagio is celebrating two years of serving specialty deep dish pizzas to the Cape Girardeau area. Along with Rolling Fog Creamery (located inside Pizzeria Adagio) they were introduced to the community on The Breakfast Show in 2008. Freezing ice cream right in front of the camera with liquid nitrogen intrigued the community to visit and their delectable pizzas piled high with toppings have kept them coming back.
A mom-and-pop pizzeria, Pizzeria Adagio is locally owned and operated by Brian and Gretchen Probst. They make their own dough and sauce, and chop fresh vegetables each week on the premises. Signature deep dish pizzas are over loaded with toppings and cheese and satisfy even the biggest eater. This year they've added flat pizzas to the menu and will soon add flat bread to the appetizer section as well as more options for kids and specialty pizzas.
"We're pleased to be a place where families can come enjoy each other around the dinner table by playing a board game, foosball or just chatting with each other. We love celebrating family and friends while enjoying some incredibly tasty pizza." says Gretchen Probst, owner. "Just be sure to save room for our homemade ice cream. You're in for a real treat!"
Pizzeria Adagio plans to celebrate their 2 year anniversary with what else-a pizza party! Customers dining in or carrying out can join in the celebration with popcorn, cotton candy and more during the last weekend in July. "We want to thank all of our customers and let them know we appreciate them," says Brian Probst, owner. "We wouldn't be here without our amazing customers."
Pizzeria Adagio is open on Fridays and Saturdays, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The address is 501 Cadmium Lane, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
