One lucky family will receive a Christmas present that will be forever remembered this year. Reed’s Metals in Scott City will be donating and installing a free metal roof for the second year in a row.

Many applications were submitted last year, and Dustin Baker, Partner and General Manager said he expects to have twice the number of applicants for the 2017 holiday. “Each applicant is deserving, and that is why it is so important to get the community involved.” We are stronger when we all come together to serve one another. Baker said

Last year’s winner was Ms. Martha Dumars from Cape Girardeau. “I had been praying about my roof, I had several people work on it, and they only made it worse.” Dumars said.

“I was so shocked when I won the nomination, I didn’t even think that I would win, I was just shocked” Dumars said about winning last year’s Covering the Community roof. Dumars was nominated by several friends from her church.
