On November 1 the public will have an opportunity to explore the contents of the "Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery Trunk" at the Red House Interpretive Center in downtown Cape Girardeau! From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. visitors will be able to examine and learn about items in the trunk and be able to understand details of the journey made by Lewis and Clark and the group that explored the Louisiana Purchase for President Thomas Jefferson. The trunk contains materials and equipment used by the Corps which includes a set of readers, maps, and interdisciplinary activities designed to help children comprehend the goals of that famous expedition.
