One of the greatest challenges for the district is funding. Leopold School strives to offer students a high quality education as well as allow students to be involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. These factors impact our school’s budget. If elected school board member, I will work with administrators and board members to ensure the school remains financially sound while maintaining a high quality education for all students in the future.
If elected, I will work to improve technology funds. Graduates from Leopold need to be able to compete in a global market. Therefore, students need access to technology at an early age. As a teacher, I have seen how engaged my students are in all subjects if they are using technology to support their learning. I would like to see more devices in the classroom to allow students more learning experiences that utilize technology.
What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position? I have children who will attend Leopold, K-12. I have been a school teacher for over 10 years. I know how to work on a team that puts the needs of students first, and I will listen to and address the needs of teachers, parents and students.
