What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I feel what makes me qualified is my experience on having served on this board along with other boards in decision making roles along with my experience in managing a business and a farm. When running a business or being on a board the key is to anticipate consequences of decisions whether positive or negative and have a plan.

What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?

Education is an ever moving target and planning for future challenges whether it be infrastructure needs, technological improvements or adjusting to funding changes is something that has to be top of mind.

How will you communicate your work to your constituents?

I believe that in our district the decisions of the board are shared and open as possible

What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?

I feel decisions should be based on what is best for the students as a whole. Decisions have to be consistent and not be based on emotion. You have to take the emotion out of it and look at it from all angles not just one. Sometimes there is not a black and white answer but you make the best choice based on the information you have.
