Jackson Middle School students from Alisha Turley's class donated items to the CASA --Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southeast Missouri -- Resource room. CASA is a volunteer based organization that advocates for abused and neglected children in Southeast Missouri. "The CASA resource room is always in need of replenishing," said Lori Schutte, CASA Office staff. "We try to keep new small items such as coloring books, crayons, toddler toys, and games for older children so our CASA Volunteers can use these items when they visit children on their cases. It is a great way for them to interact with the children and help establish a connection.

Right now, we are in need of summer items for outdoor play, such as side walk chalk, bubbles, jump ropes, balls of any kind, yard games. In August, we will be looking to replenish our school supplies for all ages. We are grateful to the children at JMS for thinking of other children and wanting to make a difference." If you would like to find out more information about CASA and how you can help please call 573-335-1726 or visit their website at www.capecasa.com.
