Jackson Middle School hosted a Jingle Bell Walk/Run on Wednesday, December 2. It was a cold and chilly morning with a chance of rain but that didn't bother about 200 brave youth with the holiday spirit. Many students were dressed in holiday t-shirts and hats. They brought bells, smiles, and positive energy to the event. The event was held for Middle School employees and students who jingled and jangled around JMS following a candy cane path. Holiday music filled the air as students ran, sang, laughed, and enjoyed the brisk cold morning. Those participating walked or ran during collaboration time and made contributions towards St. Jude's' Children Hospital. The event raised a total of $501.43. The rain held off throughout the event but started one minute before finishing. Event coordinators were Christa Turner and Kim Landewee. Citizens driving by responded that the event warmed their hearts and looked like a lot of fun.
