Islamic Center of Cape Girardeau Backpack Giveaway

Islamic Center of Cape Girardeau, like in the last 2 years, has partnered with ICNA Relief ( Islamic Circle of North America Relief) to provide Free Backpacks to Cape Girardeau and surrounding areas.

The Islamic Center has distributed over 1000 Free Back packs in the last 2 years. On August 2nd 2013, 400+ backpacks filled with basic school supplies were distributed at the Islamic Center between 4 and 6 pm. Another 100 backpacks will be provided to students who need it through local public schools over the next week.

Islam places emphasis on helping your community indiscriminately as well as on learning and struggling to attain knowledge. It is in this spirit that the Islamic Center reaches out to the community around it.
