Ian Bartholomew, son to Caroline and Douglas Bartholomew of Millersville, received his brown belt at the August 20th Youn Wha Ryu testing in Caruthersville, Missouri.

Youn Wha Ryu is a traditional training system that incorporates multiple martial arts styles including Karate, Hapkido, Kung Fu, Jiu Jitsu and Tai Chi with its foundation in Taekwondo.

Ian was examined by Master Ceth Jordan, a 6th Dan blackbelt in Youn Wha Ryu, from Farmington, Missouri.

Ian has been training since August of 2008 at the Jackson Martial Arts school. The school meets at Dance Extensions in Jackson. For more information on Youn Wha Ryu training call Chris at 573-225-0766.
