The Heartland Writer's Guild (HWG) will meet at the Steck House, a facility of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, located at 211 East Washington, on the third Sunday afternoon of each month at 2 pm, starting January 15th.

The purpose of the Heartland Writers Guild is to promote and support professionalism in writers, thereby helping members market their work. Anyone over the age of 15 interested in writing is welcome to attend.

HWG has members primarily from Southeast MIssouri and Southern Illinois, including several published writers. HWG previously met in Sikeston,and is relocating nearer a number of active members.

In addition to meeting monthly, HWG publishes a monthly newsletter, and periodically offers conferences or workshops.
